it is the ratio of megnatic flux upon magnetic field.
it is denoted by meu

magnetic permeability= B/H

muskan1053: thank u, can u explain me in detail
zxcbnm: suppose u subject a material to a magnetic field.now as orbiting electrons are equivalent magnetic dipoles. after subjecting the material to external magnetic field we have to see how these small magnetic dipoles reoriented themselves...to enhnce the external field or to cancel the external field or they are not effected so this all is how a material permits magnetic properties to pass and to account this the term permeability is used
zxcbnm: like permitivity is used for how a material reacts to external electric field
muskan1053: helpful for me thanx
zxcbnm: kk

magnetic permeability is a term which shows how a medium allows magnetic properties to influence it
