what is main difference between electromagnetic wave theory and planks quantum theory ??

According to electromagnetic wave theory , energy is emmited or absorbed continuously continuously whereas according to Planck's Quantum theory energy is emitted observed this continuously that means in certain definite packet of energy called Qantas .
