• It is a conviction that a nation's majority population must set rules as they desire, even though if it disregards and ignores the desires and needs of minority groups.
• The system has various disadvantages -

1. The practice is not universally accepted as it can lead to tyranny.
2. It leads to concentration on only one section of the society, neglecting the growth and development of others.
