Makar Sakranti is a Hindu Festival celebrated on 14th and 15th of January every year . It is also called the Festivals of kites. Mythology says that Makar Sankranti celebrated because lord Surya enters the origin Capricorn ( Makar Rashi) . And order to celebrate this moment Makar Sankranti celebrated and that's why it is called Makar Sankranti.
