Answer - Malnutrition occurs when the body doesn't get enough nutrients due to a poor diet, digestive conditions or another disease.

Kwashiorkor is a protein deficiency disease. It causes swelling in the body especially in the hands, feet and the face.

Nutrient deficiency is the main cause of Marasmus.

A sample diet for kwashiorkor and marasmus child should be high calorie and high protein like milk, Rava, porridge, boiled groundnut, dal, and rice.
