Marasmus can be defined as disease which affects the children due to the deficiency in proteins, carbohydrates and fats. It occurs generally to the kids of 1 year old or below 1 year old. Marasmus is caused due to the sudden stop of feeding mammary gland's secretion or milk in an immature age.

The symptoms of marasmus includes:

  • Less body wait.
  • Weakness resulting in the weakening of muscle, skin and bones.
  • Sildely the skin gets folded.
  • The organs gets thinner.
  • Stop mental and physical growth.
  • The region of the ribs appears to be prominent.
