Heya !!!

Here's your answer !!!

Marchantia is a bryophyte..

Bryophytes are cryptogams ..

Marchantia belongs to class : Hepaticopsida (Liverworts ) of Bryophyta...

They grow in moist , shady habitats such as banks of streams , marshy ground , damp soil and deep in the woods ...

The plant body in Marchantia is thalloid ...

The thallus is prostate, dorsiventral and closely appressed to the substrate..

Vegetative reproduction takes place by fragmentation of thalli or by formation of specialised structures called gemmae ...

During sexual reproduction, the antheridia and archeagonia are produced on same or different thalli
The sporophyte is differentiated into a foot , setae and capsule...

They produce elaters in the capsule with help in spore dispersal..

Hope this helps you :)
