Marchantia is a liverwort. It is a non vascular bryophyte. It is a land plant. They have gametophyte dominant life cycle. The plant body is flattened ribbon like called as the thallus

The reproductive organs of marchantia are antheridium (male reproductive organ) and archegonium (female reproductive organ). These organs are also known as sporophyte which produce male and female spores . It requires water for fertilization.
