MARCONIC RULE

In an addition reaction of protic acid HX to an alkene, the hydrogen atom of an HX become bonded to a carbon atom that had the greatest no. of hydrogen antim in starting alkene.

ANTI MARCONIC RULE

this describes regiochemistry where the substituent is bonded less substituted carbon ,rather than more substituted carbon.
