when an unsymmetrical molecule adds to an unsymmetrical alkane the negative part of the adding molecule adds to that carbon containing least no of hydrogen atoms

Markovnikov's Rule.....

According to this rule, in case of addition of unsymmetrical reagents to the unsymmetrical alkene the part of reagent is added to that C atom which has more H atoms and -ve part is added to that carbon atom which has less number of carbon atoms..
