In chemistry, the mass fraction is the ratio of one substance with mass to the mass of the total mixture , defined as The sum of all the mass fractions is equal to 1: Mass fraction can also be expressed, with a denominator of 100, as percentage by mass (frequently, though erroneously, called percentageby weight, ...

Mass Percent Formula. Mass percentis used as a way of expressing a concentration or a way of describing a component in a mixture. For a solution, the mass percent is expressed as the grams of solute divided by the grams of solution, then multiplied by 100 to get a percentage.

Hey there...
Mass percentage : It is the amount of solute in grams dissolved in per 100g of solution,
Example: 10% solution of sodium chloride means 10g of solid sodium chloride is present in 100g of solution.
Mole fraction(x) : It is the ratio of number of moles of a particular component to the total number of moles of all the components.
Example: mole fraction of component A,
xA = nA / (nA+nB),
where nA is the number of moles of component A and nB is the number of moles of component B.
Hope it helps..
