In hadron physics we talked about U(1)VU(1)V (vector) and U(1)AU(1)A (axial) as well as SU(3)LSU(3)L (left) and SU(3)RSU(3)R (right). There are certain relations between them which were shown in the chapter of spontaneous symmetry breaking.
