What is maths??? describe

manu2604: Hey...
manu2604: Maths is basically a subject which deals with numbers diagrams variables and words... students usually find it diagrams the easiest then words then numbers and then variables... for example...if we take a number 1/2 it can be represented in any of the other 3 forms... in diagrams u can simply draw a shape and shade half of it...in words we can write it as 'one by two' or 'half' and in variables we can write it as 2x/x...
manu2604: For easy understanding we can convert the given question or information in any of the 4 forms...preferably the one that u are most comfortable with...hope this helps... :-)
avnigirl: Thanks
manu2604: Anytime

Mathematics is the science that deals with the logic of shape, quantity and arrangement. Math is all around us, in everything we do.

Mathematics as a formal area of teaching and learning was developed about 5000 years ago by the Sumerians. They did at the same time as they develped reading and writing . However the roots of matematics go back much more than 5000 years. Throughout their history, humans have faced the need to measure and communicate about the time quantity and distance.

I hope this will help you
