matter is a thing which occupies some space and has mass.
there are three types of matter-solids,liquids,gases.
solids:which have a definite shape and volume..
ex: book,duster etc.......
liquids: which have a definite volume but shape depends on the container.
ex: milk in glass ...........
gases: which doesnt have any definite shape and volume.
ex: oxygen in air..
