Matter are those substance which have mass and have volume .

There are 3 type of matter --

(1) Solid - All those substance which have a defiNite shape and volume and have strong intermolecular force .

(2) Liquid - It have fixed volume but its shape in not fixed .

(3) Gas - In it , particles are situated at a far distance so they have less intermolecular force .

Matter is a particle that takes space, occupies area with a volume.

Explanation:

When the volume of an object is high, it occupies more space and if the mass of the object is more then its weight will be greater.

It is believed that both matter and energy are different and there is no relation between the two, that is, both of them cannot be converted.

Initially it was believed that matter like energy is also indestructible, that is, like energy can neither be destroyed nor generated, just like that matter or matter is also considered to be indestructible, ie initially it was considered That matter can neither be destroyed nor produced and therefore the law of indestructibility of matter was given to matter at that time.

But later the great scientist Einstein found that energy and matter can be interchangeably, that is, energy can be converted into matter and matter can be converted into energy, and matter and energy into Einstein expressed this change among themselves by the E=m*c2 equation, which we call Einstein's energy equation.

Here E = energy in this equation and m = mass of matter and c = velocity of light, the value of c is 3.00 × 108 m / s.
