Summary. Students are introduced to the idea that matter is made up of tiny particles called atoms and molecules. Students observe a solid metal hammer and a nail and view a molecular model animation of the particles in a solid.

Answer:

MATTER IS MADE UP OF VERY VERY SMALL SUBATOMIC PARTICLES MAINLY ELECTRONS, PROTONS AND NEUTRONS.

AND BOTH PROTONS AND NEUTRONS ARE FURTHER MADE UP OF TRIPLETS OF CHARGED PARTICLES KNOWN AS QUARKS WHICH ARE OF 2 TYPES UP QUARK AND DOWN QUARK.

UP QUARK HAS A CHARGE OF +2/3 C

AND DOWN QUARK HAS CHARGE OF -1/3 C

NEUTRON IS MADE UP OF U.D.D COMBINATION OF QUARKS AND PROTON IS MADE UP OF U.U.D COMBINATION OF QUARKS.

THOUGH A STRING THEORY OF MATTER HAS ALSO BEEN DEVELOPED BUT I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT IT AS STILL RESEARCH IS GOING ON IN THIS FIELD.

EDIT:-

ALSO THERE ARE SOME CHARGELESS PARTICLES CALLED NEUTRINO AND ITS ANTIMATTER KNOWN AS ANTUNEUTRINO BUT I DONT THINK YOU WILL REQUIRE IT NOW
