A miniature circuit breaker (mcb) is a device that has one or more switches . It is an automatically operated switch, which switches off when excess current flows through the circuit. It can be reset easily unlike a fuse.
Working : Whenever over current is passed through mcb , the bimettalic strip is heated and deflects by bending.
The defection of bimettalic strip realeases a mechanical latch . To restart it should be Manually turned on.
