hey dude....
conventional current is defined as moving in the same direction as the positive chargeflow. So, in metals where the charge carriers (electrons) are negative, conventional current is in the opposite direction as the electrons.

Hey dude...Electric current was invented before inventing electrons. So conventional people called electricity flows form positive to negative . So it is called conventional current. Now having invented electrons knowing their quality, ability, it is understood that electrons only flow in the circuit as they are having negative charge, they are flowing from negative (exes electrons) to positive (short of electrons)
