Answer:

A black hole is a place in space where gravity pulls so much that even light can not get out. The gravity is so strong because matter has been squeezed into a tiny space. This can happen when a star is dying. Because no light can get out, people can't see black holes.

Answer: Stars are nuclear furnaces which are created by the gravitational collapse of clouds of matter in the form of interstellar dust. The main fuel of stars is hydrogen, which begins a fusion reaction in the intense temperatures and pressures created in the interior of the star.

The fusion reaction causes an increase in pressure which balances the further collapse of the star. However, all stars will eventually run out of their hydrogen fuel. When hydrogen fuel has being transformed into helium this can fuse into carbon and so on through neon, oxygen, silicon and iron but this sequence ends at iron, which requires more energy than it gives out. As a result, fusion in the core ceases, radiation pressure ceases and pressure in the core increases. The ultimate fate of the star depends on its mass.
