an aquatic invertebrates animal of the phylum Cnidaria which comprise the coelenterates
that includes Hydra , jellyfish, sea anemone and corals. a Cnidaria ia s diploblastic with two cell layer of the body wall seperated by mesoglea and show radial symmetry

Body symmetry - Radially symmetrical.

Germ layers - diploblastic

Body form - they have transparent body. the body shape varies form flat to oval. the external body surface bears 8 median comb plates. the comb plates are ciliated therefore helps in locomotion.tantacles may be present or absent. if present the no. of tantacles is 2.

Digestion - both extracellular and intracelluar.

Reproduction - hermaphrodite, sexual mode of reproduction.

Fertilisation - internal

Develpoment - indirect

Bioluminescence is well marked in ctenophores.
