As winds keep blowing on the earth's surface, their direction is affected by the force created by the rotation of the earth.this force is known as the coriolis force.the coriolis force is responsible for for the deflection of winds to the right of its line of motion in the northern hemisphere and to the left of its line in the southern hemisphere.this is called Ferrell's law.
