Crop rotation is the practice of growing a series of dissimilar or different types of cropsin the same area in sequenced seasons. It is done so that the soil of farms is not used for only one set of nutrients. It helps in reducing soil erosion and increases soil fertility and crop yield.
Crop rotation is also used to control pests and diseases that can become established in the soil over time. The changing of crops in a sequence decreases the population level of pests by (1) interrupting pest life cycles and (2) interrupting pest habitat.

Crop rotation means growing different types of crops in different seasons.
It helps the soil to regain its fertility. For example if you grow a wheat crop it absorbs some nitrogen from the field and after that if
we grow a leguminous plant in our field it can reaches the field with nitrogen.
