Elastic collision in which no loss of KE during collision .
Inelastic collision in which loss of KE during collision.

hey mate!

ELASTIC COLLISION:-

in such collision shape will be regained

the deformation energy will be zero.

KINETIC ENERGY BEFORE COLLISION = KINETIC ENERGY AFTER COLLISION.

INELASTIC COLLISION:-

there will be no regain of shape

KINETIC ENERGY BEFORE THE COLLISION > KINETIC ENERGY AFTER COLLISION.

DEFORMATION ENERGY=INITIAL KINETIC ENERGY- FINAL KINETIC ENERGY

in case of complete inelastic collision the bodies will stick to each other and move with common velocity.

hope it will help you
