IVF stands for In Vitro Fertilization.

I.Some women are unable to have babies because their fallopian tubes are blocked.This prevents the ova become fertilized as the male gamets from the father cannot come in contact with famale gamet of mother.This problem can overcome through test tube baby technology.In this technique,freshly ova collected from the women's ovaries by using a special syringe and semen from the men kept in an in Vitro.The sperms fertilizes the ova to form an embryo.After a week the embryo thus formed is then inserted into the women's womb where the embryo gets implanted n develop into a baby in abt nine months.This baby is formed thus called a test tube baby.This technique was first introduce in humans in 1978 and it's called in vitro fertilization.
