- This occurs in diploid as well as haploid cell
- This occurs in somatic cells
Mitosis is a continuous process though it is divided into two phases:
- Karyokinesis
- Cytokinesis
Karyokinesis is divided into 4 sub-stages:
- Prophase
- Metaphase
- Anaphase
- Telophase
And after telophase,cytokinesis comes and cytoplasm divides and 2 daughter cells are formed.
