Nathpanthis were a group of religious people who emerged in the medieval period and believed that the path to salvation lay in the realisation of the formless one and through meditation of the same.

1.  Nathpanthis, Siddhas, and Yogis advocated renunciation of the world
2.  According to them, the path to salvation lay in meditation which realises oneness of Ultimate Reality, God

Nathpanthis like siddhas and yogis were a group of ascetics in Mediveval India who advocated renunciation of the world. They believed that the path to salvation lies in meditation on the formless Ultimate Reality (God) and the realization of oneness with Him. They advocated rigorous training of body and mind in order to achieve the same.

They criticized the Vedic and useless rituals and were popular among lower castes.
