saprotrophic nutrition is an process of chemoheterotrophic extracellular digestion involved in the processing of. dead or decayed organic matter. it occurs in saprotrophs or heterotrophs , and is most associated with fungi . (for example : mucor and Rhizobium) and soil bacteria.
