A stock is a general term used to describe the ownership certificates of any company. A share on the other hand, refers to the stock certificate of any particular company.

A reserve is profit that have been appropriated for a particular purpose. Reserves are sometimes set up to purchase fixed assets, pay an expected legal settlement, pay bonuses, pay off debt, pay for repairs and maintenance and so forth........... Thus, funds designated as a reserve can actually be used for any purpose.

A resource is a service or other asset used to produce goods and services that meets human needs and wants.
