Rather than dissolving in the water, the sand will float around and eventually settle to the bottom. This interaction between sand and water perfectly explains what a suspension is. Suspension is a type of heterogeneous mixture where solid particles do not dissolve in a liquid solution

I have written it by myself please mark it as the brainllist if it will help you

A suspension is a heterogeneous mixture in which solid particles have size greater than hundred nm distributed in a fluid without dissolving in it.

A suspension is a heterogeneous mixture.

The size of suspended particles is greater than hundred nm .

The suspended particles can be seen with naked eyes or under a simple microscope.

When left undisturbed for sometime the suspended particle settle on the bottom of the container under the influence of gravity.

Suspended particles can be separated from the fluid medium by decantation and filtration.

Example - Muddy water , dust in air etc.
