Rarefaction -

It is the part of the wave in which the particles are far apart from each other and there is increase in the volume of medium

Crest -

The topmost curve in the wave is called crest

Trough -

While the bottom most curve is called the trough

amplitude is the maximum displacement from either side of the mean position

wavelength is the distance between two consecutive troughs or two consecutive crest

crest is the upper peak of the wave

truck is the lower pic of the wave

compression is that place where sound particles are compressed and are in a large number
