corrosion means the slow eating of the metal due to the moisture and acid and oxygen present in our environment.

CORROSION:- The eating up of metal surface by the action of air, moisture or any chemical (acid/ base/ salt) is called corrosion. Corrosion of iron objects is called rusting. It develops a red- brown layer on its surface called rust.

In corrosion of copper it becomes greenish in colour and in corrosion of silver it becomes black.
