I agree that nobody can make intelligent comedy as smartly and entertainingly as Rajkumar Hirani (for the record, ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ and ‘PK’ are really delightful, in my opinion). But sometimes, intelligence borders on smugness. There are some really punchy scenes in the film, like the definition of ‘machine’, or those fine little verbal bits about idiots who do both MBA and engineering or about colleges not being pressure cookers. But most of it is really, irritatingly smug.
