What is meant by a “Frolic and Detour?”

Detour happens when an employee takes little leave from his employer's charge and frolic is more leave when employee is acting for his own benefit on his own instead a minor sidetrack in course of obeying an order from employer.  

Employer shall be relieved of liability which is normally assessed through doctrine of respondent superior for torts done by employee only if employee is deemed in frolic engagement.
