Answer

The pathway through which a reflex action occurs is called a reflex arc.

Explanation:

*  THE REFLEX ARC STARTS FROM A RECEPTOR [SENSE ORGAN] AND  ENDS IN EFFECTOR [MUSCLE].

* WHEN A SENSORY RECEPTOR IS STIMULATED THE SIGNALS PASS IT        ALONG THE SENSORY NEURON TO CNS [BRAIN AND SPINAL CORD] AND THEN THE MESSSAGES  TRAVEL ALONG RELAY NEURON OR INTERMEDIATE NEURON IN THE CORTEX PART OF SPINAL CORD.

* THE MESSAGES FROM SPINAL CORD ARE CARRIED BY MOTOR NEURON TO THE RESPECTIVE EFFECTOR OR MUSCLE ORGAN TO SHOW THE RESPONSE

EXAMPLE ;

              *    BLINKING OF EYES WHEN A DUST PARTICLE ENTERS AN EYE.

                              RECEPTOR: EYE

                               EFFECTOR : EYELASHES OR CILIARY MUSCLES
