What is meant by acidity and basicity?


anjali390: acidity is the extent to which a substance will donate a proton/hydrogen ion. Substances with high acidity will donate a proton easily while substances with low acidity will rarely donate protons and in presence of more acidic substances, accept a proton

acidity of base is termed as no. of hydroxide ions produced in its aqueous solution.
basicity of acid is termed as no. of hydrogen ion produced in its aqueous solution
