What is meant by acute and chronic diseases?

hey there!

 - Acute diseases are those which lasts for only short period of time.

- Develop in a short time.

- Appears suddenly.

- example:cold, influenza, throat infection, etc.

                     WHEREAS

- Chronic diseases lasts for a long period of time.

- It develops day by day . 

- Doesn't have sudden onset like acute diseases.

- examples: cancer,heart disease, AIDS etc.

Acute Diseases are Diseases that Develops Quickly and Lasts for a Short time . They are Accompanied by Distinct Symptoms .
Example include Influenza , Cough, Cold etc.

Chronic Diseases are Diseases which Persists over a long Period of Time and May Recur. They can't be Prevented by Vaccines and They Do not Disappear.
Example Include Cancer , Diabetes, Kidney Disorders etc.
