An artery is a vessel that carries blood away from the heart and toward other tissues and organs. Arteries are part of the circulatory system, which delivers oxygenand nutrients to every cell in the body.

Arteries transport blood from heart to all parts of body.
Arteries are thik walled.
It carries oxygenated blood.
Arteries does not have valves.
Colour of blood is bright red.
Valves is an obstacle which is present in only veins because veins have low blood pressure. So , valves are present there so that blood can not come back .
It is not present in arteries because it has high blood pressure.
