What is meant by atmospheric pressure? What is the cause of this pressure?

Please tell me the answer of this question... Its really urgent.... Plzz help

Atmospheric pressure, sometimes also called barometric pressure, is the pressure within the atmosphere of Earth. The standard atmosphere is a unit of pressure defined as 1013.25 mbar, equivalent to 760 mmHg, 29.9212 inches Hg, or 14.696 psi

CAUSE:-

The type and intensity of weather is controlled by changes in air pressure.Air pressure is caused by the weight of the air molecules above. ... Thispressure causes air molecules at the Earth's surface to be more tightly packed together than those that are high in the atmosphere.
