it is the number of atoms in a molecule ..for example atomicity of Nitrogen dioxide is 2 (N2)

Atomicity is the total number of atoms present in one molecule of an element, compound or a substance. For example, in O2, there are 2 atoms of oxygen. Also, Helium exists singly as its atomicity is 1.
