The number of atoms present in a molecule of element is known as atomicity.

  • ex-H2 (hydrogen),O2 (oxygen)... are exist as diatomic molecules
  • example of tetra atomic is Phosphorus(P4)
  • example of Polly atomic is Sulphur (S8)
