Always remember the first law of thermodynamics (law of conservation of energy). Accordingly, energy cannot be destroyed but can be converted from one form to another.

AVERAGE BOND ENERGY

Explanation:

Bond energy (BE), also called the mean bond enthalpy or average bond enthalpy is the measure of bond strength in a chemical bond

For diatomic molecules, the energy required to break the bond in one mole of a gaseous molecule is called bond dissociation energy or simple bond energy. For polyatomic molecules, average bond energy is taken as the dissociation bond energy.

If the bond energy is greater, then it is highly stable and do not react with other molecules, hence less reactive.
