Balancing equation means which follows law of conservation of mass which means that mass can neither be created nor be destroyed.

  1. The atoms of different elements on both side are equal.
  2. The equation is molecular I. e gas is involved in the equation must be in the molecular form ( eg, H2, O2, N2 etc )
  3. Equation Mg + Hcl ------------> Mgcl2 + H2 A simple look at the equation reveals that the No. of My atoms are equal on both sides. At the same time the number of Class and H atoms are not equal. After balancing act like you Mg + 2Hcl -------------> Mgcl2 + H2
