Biodiversity is the existence of a wide variety of species of plants, animals and microorganisms in a natural habitat within a particular environment.

Two reasons each of conserving:

(a) Forest

(i) It helps in retaining the sub-soil water.

(ii) It checks flood.

(b) Wildlife

(i) To maintain ecological equilibrium.

(ii) To protect the nature.
