Buoyancy:-
When an object is immersed partially or fully in a liquid, it experiences an upward force. This upward force is known as buoyant force and this phenomenon is known as buoyancy. Buoyancy is also known as up thrust.
The force of buoyancy is given as,
F = Vρg
where V is the volume of the liquid displaced,
ρ is the density of liquid and
g is acceleration due to gravity.
Buoyancy helps ships and boats to float on water, helium balloons in air etc.
