when an object is immersed in fluid the fluid exert a vertical force on that object it is known as bouyant force. the amount of bouyant force depends on the mass o f that object . if the weight of object is less than that of the fluid it will float in the fluid . and if the weight of object is more than that of fluid it will sin k on fluid.
