Hola!
Actually there are three types of layers in a forest, a canopy, the understorey and the forest floor.
• the branch a part of a tree about the trunk is known as the Crown of the tree.
• different trees have crowns of different types and sizes.
• the branches of the tall trees look like a roof Over the other plants. this is known as canopy.
in a rainforest the visitation that grows under the shade of a canopy is known as the understorey. It contains small trees, shrubs and all other types of grasses.
the forest floor is covered with a layer of dead and decaying leaves, fruits, seeds twigs and herbs.
Thanks for the question :)
