The process by which energy is obtained from the digested food in the body is called Respiration.

Respiration are of two types ---->

1. Aerobic or Cellular Respiration
2. Anaerobic Respiration

Cellular respiration is the process through which cells convert sugars into energy.

In this process, oxygen is required to convert glucose into ATP (Energy).

In this process 38 ATP of energy is released.
