What is meant by chelate complex? Give any one example.

The chelate effect is the enhanced affinity of chelatingligands for a metal ion compared to the affinity of a collection of similar nonchelating (monodentate) ligands for the same.
An example of a simple chelating agent is ethylenediamine. ethylenediamine.e metal.
