a molecule is chiral if it is not superimposable on its mirror image. most chiral molecule can be identified by their lack of a plane of symmetry or a centre of symmetry. your hand is chiral object as it does not. have either of these types of symmetry.

For example - Your hand is a chiral molecule as it does not have either of theses type of symmetry..
With regard to Organic chemistry, chiral molecules commonly comprise a carbon atom attached to four different substituents..
