What is meant by cloning state whether gametes are involved in cloning or not. Name 2 animals which have been produced by cloning ? :)

A Gamete is a reproductive cell containing a set of male or female chromosomes, and these gametes are involved in cloning method for the reproduction phenomena. The two animals produced by cloning are Noah the Gaur and Rabbit which are cloned to form a new living organism in its own gene.
Cloning is the process of producing genetically identical organism from a somatic cell of a parent organisms.
Gametes are not involved in cloning.
Two organism that have been produced by cloning are :-
1. Dolly Sheep
2. Mahima calf.
Explanation:
Cloning helps to produce an organism which is morphologically and genetically similar to the parent organism.
In the process of cloning , we use somatic cell of an organism rather than the germ cell which also means that there is no need of fusion as that cell already has diploid no. of chromosomes.
No need of gamete formation is there as it would require fusion to double the no. of chromosomes.
Many organisms have been produced by NDRI by the process of cloning. For instance:- Sheep , Calves of buffalo etc.
